Wedding Thank You Letters
Tuesday, 03 May 2011 13:36
What a day! Now that the festivities are over the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge must see to the task of writing their thank you letters. Luckily, for them they will have some help from the Palace staff but for those without the good fortune to have back office support, here are our top tips for writing wedding thank you letters:
- Be Prompt - etiquette dictates that all thank you should be written soon after the wedding and/or the receipt of a gift
- Make it personal - a generic thank you will not do, you need to make people truly feel you appreciate their presence at the wedding and the contribution they have made
- Share one of your highlights - this could be a favourite photograph from the day or a little anecdote that sums up the emotions you felt
The Royal Wedding Invitation
Monday, 21 February 2011 20:56
An invitation sets the tone of an event and lets guests know what to expect - as well as providing recipients with the necessary logistical information. With a die stamped EIIR cypher, gold bevelled edge and crisp printing on a heavy ivory card, the Royal Wedding invitation ensures there is no mistaking that this is a formal event of great importance.

Another invitation will follow for the dinner to be held for close friends and family of Prince William and Kate Middleton. I would expect something slightly less formal - but still quite classic - to reflect their individual style and the private nature of the event. At CLD we call these invitations "traditional with a twist".
